InfinitasThank You VolvoPublic Safety Appreciation
I wish to thank the public safety professionals throughout the Metropolitan Washington, DC region for their outstanding service to our community. We are blessed to have such highly trained, experienced, and dedicated men and women that place their lives in danger everyday to protect us. I ask that whenever possible, you express your appreciation to any police officer, deputy sheriff, correctional officer, federal officer or agent, prosecutor, firefighter, paramedic, emergency medical technician, or member of our armed forces.

I realized that through the Internet this message reaches across the world and so does the appreciation. Wherever you are, please take the time to say thank you to your public safety professionals for the work they do and for the sacrifices that they make. I ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

I wish to thank the following public safety professionals that have personally touched my life:

Glenn Ivey, State' s Attorney, Prince George' s County, MD
(Prosecuted my former husband for setting me on fire)

On August 19, 2006, Don Beyer Volvo presented me with a new car to use in my domestic violence work. The following law enforcement professionals attended the presentation to demonstrate a strong show of support for crime victims and survivors. Their presence served to reinforce their agency' s strong commitment to public safety, service, and community relations.

The selection by their governor, mayor, chief, sheriff or commander to represent their agency and the citizens of their jurisdiction was an outstanding choice. These public safety professionals demonstrated superior performance, dedication, and leadership in keeping with the highest standards of their agency. They served our community with distinction. Their participation proved that kindness knows no boundaries.

Links to the represented agencies are included to allow citizens to share their appreciation.
